IT IS MANDATORY. HANDWRITTEN TAGS ARE NOT ACCEPTED!
- Bar Codes will provide faster check out lines, more accurate accounting, and eliminates sorting and adding cards at the end of the sale. (Tags are not returned to the consignor)
- The Software will provide reports to each consignor of what they sold and did not, what items were donated, what items sold at 1/2 price and their TOTALS for the event. (sent with checks)
- The Software also keeps track of volunteer times and duties as well as consigner check in and check out times. It also produces the settlement checks mailed to the consignor after the sale.
- Consignors who purchase the software can use it for other resales.
- Consignors will have free technical support and free updates.
- Consignors only need a PC (Mac Computers won't work) and download right to their computer.
- Tags are printed on Card Stock (64# or heavier). WHITE ONLY

COMPARE THE TWO VERSIONS
FIRST TIME USERS Choose From:
TagIt: Is the FULL Software Version that you keep. It is a one time fee with free updates. You can input
your inventory (which is saved from sale to sale), print barcoded tags, and full access to all the reports.
You use over and over again. You can even use it with other resales or personal garage sales.
You will export your completed inventory file to KID MANIA before the sale and KID MANIA will export back
to you after the sale. When you import the sale results back into your software after the sale, it will update
your Master Inventory List automatically of what was sold and what did not.
You can purchase the full version software program for under $20 visit www.tagityourself.com and use the
discount code KMPA35 to receive a 20% discount! This is the version we ultimately want everyone
to have. You need an ID# to get into.
TagItLite: is the FREE Semi-Version of TagIt. Visit www.tagityourself.com/lite/lite.htm. You will need a user
name and password provided to you when you mail in your registration form and fee. An ID# must be
provided to you by KID MANIA.
It will allow you to download all the software to your computer
for free, but limits you on what you can do with this program (Inventory from a previous sale cannot be
downloaded to the next sale and the report will not reflect unsold items from a past sale. It will allow you
to input inventory, print barcoded tags and see your summary report.
Unsold Items from a previous sale using TagitLite that is brought to the next sale CAN still be used;
however, the description of your item will nto be on the reports of what sold, just an ITEM # and AMOUNT.
The reason is because it is for a one time sale option only in hopes you transfer to TAGIT for the next
sale. It's like a trial before you purchase the program.
KID MANIA (KM): KM wants everyone to have the software; however if you don't have a PC or a printer:
KM will produce the tags for you via a PDF File & email to you for a service fee of $5. If you have a printer issue we will print your tags for a service fee of $5 plus .20 a page & postage. This is a LAST resort and used only if you don't have a computer (or only have a MAC computer).
If you are capable of doing them yourself, this option is not available to you. All consignors are
to get the TagItLite or TagIt program and produce their own tags. - $5 is sent in with your registration form if KM just produces your tags - If KM prints your tags, the additional fees will come out of your settlement check at the end.
~KM will email you an Inventory Spread Sheet (Word Document) after you send in your registration.Open this form, stay within its parameters, type your inventory, save and email back to KM as an
attachment. We will email back to you your completed tags for you to print yourself or take to your local
office supply store to print for you. Example: You can email to the Washington, PA Staples to print heavier. CONTACT ME IF YOU NEED ADDITIONAL ASSISTANCE USING THE KM OPTION!

Once the software has been downloaded, you can use over and over again! Updates are free!
For the next sale, keep the software on your computer and follow the next steps:
ITEM NUMBERS CANNOT BE DUPLICATED. IF YOU HAD AN ITEM #1 THAT DID NOT SELL AT THE
LAST EVENT AND YOU WANT TO BRING BACK TO THE NEXT EVENT, YOU CAN NOT USE THE
SAME ITEM NUMBER! IT IS IMPORTANT YOU HAVE YOUR INVENTORY FROM THE LAST EVENT
AND IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU START WITH NEW NUMBERS. PLEASE VISIT THE TAGIT WEBSITES
ABOVE OR EMAIL TECHNICAL SUPPORT IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS!
Once all of your inventory is input onto your software, you need to export it to me via email no later than the
SUNDAY, Sept. 19th! This will download everyones items into the main computer used at the sale. (See http://www.tagityourself.com/lite/instructions.htm for full instructions on how to export your file to me.) On the main computer, KM will be able to find items at the event that had a missing tag and it will be able to send you a detailed summary report of what sold and what did not! * This step is very important.
If you purchased TagIt, when the sale is over, KM will export your updated inventory list back to you via email. You then save the file and import it into your software on the inventory master page. It will automatically update your inventory with what sold and what did not. It will update all your reports and you can begin adding more inventory for the next sale. (If you had used the free version TagItLite, this option s not available to you.)

RECALLED ITEMS: Please visit www.cpsc.gov and view by Company/Product for recalled items.New Laws are in place for Consignments & Resale Events. Fines Up to $100,000 to the CONSIGNOR!
KID MANIA will have at the sale a binder listing all the outdated/recalled items from the CPSC.
It is NOT to replace the consignor to verify their items on the website. It is used as a double check and for our customers to view at their convenience.
TAGS
All tags are printed by using the TagIt or TagItLite by the consignor OR TagIt Manager by KID MANIA. Handwritten Tags are no longer accepted. (We do not return tags to the consignor) Tags will indicate: ID#, Gender, Size, Description, Brand Name, Item#, Discount, Donation and Bar Code. Be specific on your tag and don't go over the alotted character space. If the tag comes off your item, it will
be easy to find with the best description you can provide to retag and put back on the floor. Items missing tags will be removed and NOT sold. You have a chance to claim on Sunday during pick up. PLEASE DO NOT PIN OR TAPE OVER THE BARCODES!
CLOTHING All clothing is placed on a hanger (you provide!). Putting them in baggies or on placing them on the table
do not sell. (Onsies or socks are the only exception). Make sure they are secure on the appropriate size hanger. You may need to pin pants to shirts if it is a set, so they don't get lost. Sometimes pinning them to a hanger for a better fit is fine. CLOTHES THAT WERE PUT ON THE TABLE THAT ARE REQUIRED
TO BE PUT ON HANGERS WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE SALE AND RETURNED ON SUNDAY. I usually look for stores going out of business to help you get hangers. If not, buying them at the dollar
stores or walmart is where you can find them at a reasonable price. Ask to keep hangers at stores from
family giving gifts, or even asking stores/dry cleaners if they have any hangers.
NEW>>KM began taking hangers off items during checkout at the 2009 Fall Event. We will divide them up equally among all the active consignors to take with them when they pickup their unsold items on Sunday. This is going to continue, unless otherwise noted. (Pins will also be put in baggies and given out on a first
come first serve basis).
When tagging your item they go on different sides according to gender. Put your article of clothing on the table and look facing down at them, then Tag as:
GIRLS put the tag on the top right. The hanger will be facing to the left like a "?" BOYS put the tag on the top left. The hanger will be facing to the right like a backwards "?" mark.
We hang the clothing by gender and size order. If you have yours already in the same order, set up will
be a snap. Please indicate gender as Boy, Girl, (Boy Jr., Girl Jr. for teens). Also try to put the accurate
size; not Small Medium or Large. (See link below the pricing chart to see how to size your clothes bbrand.
SHOES
Tie the laces together, pin the shoes through the eyelets, or use a piece of string to keep your shoes
together. Putting in Zip Lock Bags are also OK. Shoes are organized by gender and size on the tables.
Pin the tag though an eyelet or use clear packing tape to the zip lock bag.
TOYS
All toys must be checked with the Consumer Product and Safety Commission: www.cpsc.gov You can check by Company / Product to make sure your items are safe to sell. There has been several toys recalled for lead issues. Please make sure you are not selling an unsafe item, fines are to the consignor and criminal charges can be made. PLEASE, PLEASE CHECK THE WEBSITE! They can
even send you updates via email if you get on their email list!
Smaller toys will be placed on the tables (look for signs for similar item locations). Larger toys will go in
the back of the room and under the tables if necessary.
When tagging these items, use a safety pin or clear packing tape. If there are any loose items, please put them in a zip lock baggie and tape securely with the clear packing tape. We find several loose items and
not know what they go to, please find a way to keep them all together. ALSO DO NOT TAPE OVER THE
BARCODES!
EQUIPMENT
The larger items are on the floor, smaller items are on the table. There will be signs for their location. If
you still have instructions, please keep with your item. If it needs assembled, bring tools to assemble and
take down for the buyer. They like to see it set up. Also check for recalled items; I cannot stress enough!
HELPFUL HINT WITH TAGGING: If you have a tagging gun or could purchase one, it will give the buyer a less opportunity to switch tags! I will look on line to see if I can find a cheap gun with accessories. If you know of where we can get one, please email me in the meantime! Otherwise you can get them on EBAY or Staples or Office Max. Also, do not pin or put tape on Bar Codes!
PRICING - HELPFUL CHART
When pricing, remember this is like a yard sale. Please do not use emotions when pricing,
think, "Would I pay that price for a used item?" I price 1/2 - 1/4 of the original pricing.
For Name Brand Items or Popular Items, you could price a little higher.
Items you REALLY want to go, price a little lower.
Bulk items together to get a least $1.00 worth. KM will accept pricing in increments of .50 cents.
